General

StudentLogic is a comprehensive, powerful and yet flexible web-based school management system. It is designed mainly for enrichment centres, tuition centres and pre-schools. Quick to implement and easy to use, it lets you access, view and manage students, staff and classes from any computer connected to the internet. For an overview of what it can do, see Features & Guides.
StudentLogic is a cloud-based solution. It cannot be used offline or deployed on in-house servers.
StudentLogic is a standard solution that is highly configurable to suit your situation and needs. Extra customisation is possible on a case-by-case basis; contact us at support@nextlogic.com.sg to discuss it.
Commercial enrichment and tuition centres have business structures and processes that differ from mainstream schools, and StudentLogic was developed with that flexibility in mind, whether the centre is small or big. From our and our clients’ experience, once you handle about 50 or more active students, StudentLogic will benefit you.

Using StudentLogic

StudentLogic is a very comprehensive system and it takes some time to learn it well, but once users get used to it, it is very easy to use on a daily basis.

Training is arranged for key users during implementation, and additional training for new users can be arranged online or on site. Contact us at support@nextlogic.com.sg to arrange extra training.

Data can be imported into StudentLogic when you go live. A one-time import is provided if the data is supplied in our CRM import template and products import template. We can import students, parents and products data, but not historical transactions. See Implementation: Students & Parents Data for how to prepare it.
All StudentLogic customers are provided with a user manual that explains most of the system’s functionality in detail, and the how-to guides on this site cover the most common tasks. You can also check with the StudentLogic administrator at your school or centre. This “super-user” liaises with our technical team and should be able to answer your question, or contact our support team at support@nextlogic.com.sg.
Email our support team at support@nextlogic.com.sg during office hours (Monday to Friday). Always attach a screenshot of the page where the problem occurred, with the URL visible, so we can identify and correct the issue as soon as possible. See Support for more tips on reporting issues.
Users can access information and process transactions according to their user role. There are basic roles such as administrator, teacher and manager / supervisor / principal, each with different access rights, and they can be adjusted to your school’s protocols and procedures. The super-user “Root”, usually the business owner or centre manager, controls the access rights of all users. See User Management Basics.

Attendance & communication

You can print an attendance sheet, use the old sign-in / sign-out principle and update attendance in the system later. You can give teachers access to update attendance directly in the system, on a computer or on a tablet, or they can use our simple attendance app. Alternatively, you can implement an RFID reader and issue membership cards to students, and the system will update a student’s attendance automatically when they tap the card on arrival.
StudentLogic does not come with a fingerprint scanner, but it can be integrated with a scanner of your choice as long as it meets the requirements we specify. RFID readers with membership cards are an optional alternative, and teachers can always use the attendance app, which is available to all users at no extra cost.
Yes. Using the communication module you can send mass SMS and email to selected recipients, grouped by criteria such as class, membership type, attendance status or birthdays, and set up automated reminders. See Mass SMS & Alerts and Email Reminders. The SMS platform is available in selected countries only.

Data, security & integration

Keeping your data secure has always been our top priority. We use a variety of strategies, from active security such as encryption to passive security such as daily backups. Users can only see and change the parts of the system they have access rights to, configured according to your internal protocols and procedures.
We commit to 99.9% server uptime in our SLA, and so far we have kept that commitment.
Users with the necessary access rights can export the data from each module into Excel at any time. Full database exports in SQL format are available on request.
The confidentiality of our clients’ data has always been our top priority. Data in the system remains fully owned by the client, and any misuse of the data by the IT vendor is a breach and an offence under the respective country’s law. A Non-Disclosure Agreement confirming this is signed with each client before any data or information is exchanged.

It is usually neither possible nor necessary, as most accounting software is proprietary. StudentLogic’s AR module lets you generate a monthly (or other frequency) report for accounts for your internal or external accountant, and the summary figures can easily be transferred into your accounting system. If you need an integrated school and accounting system, a full accounting module is available at extra cost.

If integration with a particular accounting system is necessary, our APIs are ready for integration with your preferred partner, as long as they are willing to integrate.

Yes. Our APIs are ready for integration with a 3rd party app provider of your choice, as long as they are willing to integrate with us. Extra integration work is chargeable unless it can be covered within the initial set-up and configuration.
